Holly is the third woman in history to have been married. Her first marriage was with actor Danny Quinn. They were wed in 1991, and then divorced in 1993. In 1994, she met Jim Carrey during auditions for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Though she wasn't given the role, the two became close when filming Dumb and Dumber. They got married in the year 1996. They split after just one year. The year 2001 saw her marry Francis Greco. He was a Canadian Investment banker. They had three sons: Henry, George and Alexander Holly Greco. In 2008, while married to Greco, she became the first Canadian citizen. The couple divorced in 2014. separated. Holly and her father Grant, and their families reside together with Holly at Oakville (Ontario, Canada) as do three of her children. In 1992, Holly and her dad Grant, and their families created their own A Fund at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in memory of her brother Alexander, about whom Holly stated, "He was a boy full of dreams, hope, and plans. He was 14 years older when he died and he traveled extensively to Central America and Europe, and lived in New York City, and Los Angeles. His experiences have inspired him in the field of architecture as well as archaeology.

Alaina Suddeth is the child of Kristy Suddeth (Rossville, Georgia) and J. J. Suddeth. Her birthplace was in Rossville, Georgia. Her father is a Chattanooga process engineer. After a vacation lasting a whole year singing in the choir for children. Alongside singing in restaurants and in the church, she also sang for holidays, family reunions and other gatherings in addition to anyplace in a 30-mile radius. Alaina took home in the Southern Stars Pageant talent contest when she was just 8 years old. The next year she was selected to take part on the Kids stage of the Chattanooga Riverbend Festival. In the following years, she performed each year on the stage until 12, when the contest that enabled her to appear on the Festival's main stage was the winner. As a ten-year-old she traveled from Florida from Florida to Orlando for the purpose of competing in The American Model and Talent Competition. The event was a success, beating out 1,500 kids. Alaina performed in Georgia's Country Gospel Music Association's kids' chorus. Alaina's first trip to Nashville was at the age of 12 years old. The singer also appeared in bars in the area, such as Tootsie's in Broadway. Alaina was the first winning Lake Winnepesaukah's WinniSTAR Youth Talent Competition in the year 2009. She composed and sang several songs, including Leaving and Set Me Free, as well. Alaina started singing when her cousin Holly Witherow who had been diagnosed with a tumor of the brain inspired her. Alaina was employed by CiC's Pizza prior to her joining Idol. She earned her degree from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe School, Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
